Thank You to Manhasset Teachers and Staff

Whole Foods and SEPTA Thank District’s Schools

 

Manhasset Special Education PTA (SEPTA) and Manhasset Whole Foods Market have joined together to thank our district’s public school teachers, therapists, administration and staff members for their dedication and effort to our community’s students. The “Tea for Teachers” outreach sent each staff member in all of Manhasset’s public schools herbal tea along with a note of thanks from the SEPTA and Whole Foods Market.

“We are so grateful for our district’s teachers, staff and administration that SEPTA just wanted to have them enjoy a little tea break with our thanks for all their hard work and dedication to our community’s children,” Manhasset SEPTA Co-President Ann Marie Moschitta stated.

“SEPTA is also so grateful to Manhasset Whole Foods Market for their generosity donating hundreds of fine herbal tea for our ‘Tea for Teachers’ outreach,” Manhasset SEPTA Co-President Lori Mann added. “Thank you to Karen Green and everyone at Whole Foods for caring and supporting our community’s educators with this wonderful donation.”

The outreach, which took place in November, was very received by teachers and staff alike. Many commented what a pleasant surprise it was to be thought of and appreciated by the community in such a delightful way.

Manhasset SEPTA is a local chapter of the National PTA supporting Manhasset’s special education population, including teachers, school staff, children up to 21 years old and their families. Through expert presentation, workshops, community programs and local resources, SEPTA provides support for over 500 Manhasset families and more than 800 school staff members. Manhasset SEPTA proudly services the needs of students with disabilities, gifted and talented students, and students receiving academic intervention services.
